New Cuban Eco at Phipps!!
Now that the weather is starting to warm up in Pittsburgh, this is the perfect opportunity
to go out to Phipps Conservatory to see their Tropical Forest Cuba exhibit. This exhibit covers
12,000 square foot and stands 60 feet high, so it’s true to be an immersive experience that
engages visitors. The exhibit takes people through Cuba’s diverse plant life showcasing the
colorful plants and flowers that are native to the island all while playing bird sounds in the
background. The exhibit also features a waterfall, built in streams, and a fish aquarium to
complete the exhibits overall tropical vibe. Throughout the exhibit, there are educational plaques
that highlight parts of Cuban culture, herbs and plants that were used for medicinal purposes in
Cuba, and information on native birds. Tickets can be bought at Phipps Conservatory, prices may vary.
